Take a Deep Breath

Whether analog or streaming, radio music and talk shows fill my day and night. Ever curious and an avid yogi, deep breathing encompasses the practice. We breath unconsciously because it’s natural yet deep breathing and its variations can serves us—especially in these COVID-19 times—well.

On Fresh Air this week, Terry Gross spoke with James Nestor about his new book, Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, Nestor. Nestor discusses his research about this book at the Float Conference in 2018.

I’ve used similar techniques when I can’t sleep in the middle of night and to relax myself when in tense social and work situations.
