A long time coming…

As real estate professionals, comps, ARV, and other useful data comprises our daily lives. How our neighborhoods, cities are plotted, arranged are not by accident.

A number of years now, I’ve thought why is there impoverished areas like East Palo Alto, Bay View Hunter’s Point et al? Areas, neighborhoods similar should not have existed. I’ve long suspected other circumstances played a more prominent role. On Tuesday 6/16, I heard on 91.7 KALW FM, author Richard Rothstein discuss his book, The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America. It’s not a mistake predominately people-of-color neighborhoods became blighted or turned into blighted areas.
